Shelton Kelsey Liles, 62, of Halifax, died Saturday, February 15, 2014.

Shelton, a native of Halifax County, was the son of the late Joseph Haywood, Jr. and Mable Rich Liles. He was also preceded in death by his son, Shelton Kelsey Liles, II.

Shelton was a member of the Darlington Volunteer Fire Department, the Royal White Hart Lodge #2 in Halifax, Seven Spot Hunting Club, Halifax Fishing Club, and was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church.

Shelton is survived by his sons, Jim Liles, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Daniel Liles and his wife, Hillary, of Winterville; his sister, Julia Adams, of Herndon, VA; his brothers, Paul Liles and his wife, Violet, of Kinbridge, VA, and Joe Liles of Halifax.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Tabor United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sid Collins officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 18, 2014, from 7:00-8:30 p.m., at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tabor United Methodist Church.
